“A woman in harmony with her spirit is like a river flowing,” ~ Maya Angelou
Our Goddess Retreats have been so amazing that we now offer two or three per year.
Come relax, rejuvenate and nurture your beautiful Goddess self in a safe circle of sisters! Celebrate the ending of Winter and the first stirrings of Spring.
We will gather to honor the Divine Feminine in each of us through a series of powerful, revealing and fun activities. We will get out on the land and really celebrate our Earth Mother through solitude in nature, hikes and ceremony. We will choose Goddess cards, explore myths and stories and work with archetypes within stories to find out more about ourselves. We will do guided journeys and visualizations. We will do gentle yoga and share from our hearts in deep council work. We will explore our soul’s work, releasing through fire ceremony outworn ideas that no longer serve us and receiving symbols of our unique gifts. We will nurture ourselves with yummy food and celebrate one another by adorning our bodies with henna. We will laugh, cry, sing, be goofy and, most of all, CELEBRATE!
Spirit Hollow now has tent cabins with bunks. This early in the season, we’ll only have one available, but it is cozy with a propane heater and will sleep six. You need to bring bedding, such as sleeping bags and pillows. You can also sleep in the yurt in an open, shared space or bring your own tent and camp out.
To keep costs low, we ask that you brink two potluck dishes; come having already eaten on Friday evening. Since there won’t be enough space or time for chopping and cooking, these should be already cooked dishes that can be easily heated in the oven or on the stove; you can also bring a crock pot. WE WILL TRY TO COORDINATE THE DISHES so there isn’t overlap or too much food (is there such a thing?). Bring your own breakfast stuff for Saturday and Sunday. Spirit Hollow will provide coffee, tea, milk and other beverages for all meals.
Remember, this is a rustic retreat: we have outhouses, which are clean, have skylights and inspirational reading material on the walls. You may use the kitchen in the house for water and washing up.
The cost is $175 for the weekend.
Our capacity is 23; so register early. Please send a $75 deposit to hold your place by sending a check to:

Born on Long Island to a pair of silly- in- love young musicians, Deena Chappell grew up listening to The Beatles, Doo-wop, Bill Monroe, Billie Holiday, folkies like Tom Paxton, Leonard Cohen, Peter, Paul and Mary and that’s just when she was hanging out with Mom. When she was with her dad, she was getting experienced with Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Janis Joplin and The Rolling Stones. Basically, Deena Chappell never stood a chance at living “normal” life (whatever that is). She knew from an early age that music was a big part of who she was.
Deena has spent her whole life playing, singing, writing and performing songs and mastering guitar and mandolin. In addition to her music, Deena has a Masters’ Degree in Counseling from Goddard College, and has been guiding children, teens and adults through her work in camps, private sessions and her current work uniting families with their babies through an national adoption agency.
Deena has been co-facilitiating Goddess Camps for Girls, Teen Spirit Quest Camps and Goddess Retreats with Tracey for the past several years and brings a love of fairy tales, archetypal stories and sacred ceremony to us all.
