THE INVITATION

Come explore true, Earth-honoring, life-enhancing, healthy community and the seeds of regenerative culture.

This summer in the Vermont mountains, 17-24-year-olds are invited to immerse themselves in an extraordinary circle of humans surrounded and supported by the wild ones.  Together we enter a timeless realm where each person deeply belongs and is cared for in their wholeness.  By contributing in meaningful ways to the community, by partnering with Earth, and by leaning into our authenticity, we collectively dream a more harmonious world into being.

In leaving behind the cacophony of the dominant culture, we dive into the soul-stream of our longings and passions, dreams and fears.  Held in safe space, participants will be loving mirrored and gently challenged by seasoned guides, while being embraced and mutually empowered by their peers.  By spending solo time in the wilds listening to Gaia and attuning to whispers from Mystery, they can catch glimpses of how they were born for these very days.

Participants will learn Wild Mind methods of wholing and self-healing, engage in many Soulcraft practices, and be supported to complete unfinished developmental tasks from childhood and early adolescence in order to gain authentic belonging and self-love.  Through the Work that Reconnects, they will honor and transform their despair and be encouraged and inspired to go forth with tools to create a soul-centric life, imagining and enacting their particular ways to help regenerate our world.

For you, looking to quench your thirst in the desert of this dominator culture.

Something is calling…

  • Does it feel like a gnawing question or an unseen force pulling you toward a place or thing you can’t name?
  • Does it have little to do with what you will major in or what career you will have?
  • Do you feel there is so much MORE to life in these intense times than the overculture presents to you?
  • Do you feel a need to disappear from the mainstream world and walk off into the unknown for a while?
  • Do you wish to “make a difference” with your life?
  • Do you miss something you can’t put your finger on?
  • Do you wish for an intergenerational community that completely “sees” you and embraces you as a valuable member?
  • Do you love Earth and feel drawn to more solitude in nature to quiet down and be mirrored by the birds, the trees, the waters, the stones?
  • Do you long for guides and teachers who can show you the ways into the inner and outer wilds and assist you with coming into Wholeness?
  • Do you want to wander away from the routines of life and become invisible to society, to social media, to a whole bunch of “shoulds” so you can indeed become visible to your Self?

What are your Gifts?  Who are you REALLY?

You stand in a potent doorway in your life—in transition between adolescent and adult—in the place of leaving behind your childhood and approaching early adulthood, at least chronologically. For some, this period can stretch out to age 50 or beyond. Many never reach true adulthood. But classically, you are at the age when something really wants to be born from deep inside yourself.

If we lived in a healthy culture, you would be surrounded by wise ones and elders, who would mirror your gifts, challenge your assumptions, and guide you to your edges, so you could encounter your depths—to tap into that which is trying to be born.

We are creating this community of loving, radically honest support during EARTH CRAFT.

What does the world we want to live in look like?  Together, we will envision and enact healthy ways of being in communion– with the land, with our selves and with our circle.  You will be inspired and supported to express and celebrate your unique, quirky, funky, wild and wonderful being.

Returning To Wholeness

When you step out of your “regular” life, you begin to come face to face with all that has been gnawing at you. When you are not distracted by your devices, your headphones, your social media, and constant bad news, Earth begins to reveal herself to you, directly, experientially, unmistakably.

When you unplug and immerse into soulful community and wild nature, you allow the space for your inner stirrings to come forth, you can safely invite your pain and longings to surface, and you will be supported in exploring your most compelling desires and dreams.

By accessing your Facets of Wholeness, you’ll learn to tap into your own vast resources of self-nurturance, your ability to be present and playful, your wild and emotional animal body, and your dreaming, imagining, visioning Muse.

Yes, the struggles of life in these challenging days can feel overwhelming.  It can feel hard to discern what’s truly important to you amidst the chaos of the overculture.

But there is so much more to your life and your unique place in these times. You have a role to play in this Great Turning toward a life-enhancing world.   As ‘olders,’ we will listen and mirror and affirm all that we see in you, all that is beautiful and emerging.

You were born for these days!

Tommy-Tom and Sita, Summer 2021

After a year of uncertainty and much time to re-examine life as we know it, coming to Spirit Hollow was exactly what I needed to figure out what my soul truly yearned for.  This experience was transforming. To spend time with my peers and the inspiring facilitators really helped change my perspective. To dig deep and hold space is something I couldn’t do on my own before coming:  to create a bond with the forest, to come back to Earth, and to feel what is REAL.
When I came back home after that week, I felt whole for the first time. My Being was so tended to and so loved.   Now I have more tools that I can use every day to help me come back to wholeness. And I look forward to the next time I can be with my tribe again”  Sita Watanabe

This is your time to open to the voices of the ancient Earth and your OWN deep wisdom.

Now, what has been just whispers or dream fragments comes into to focus. You get to listen now. You get to awaken your senses and come alive on the land so that the deeper threads of your life are allowed to come to the fore, instead of being in the gloaming.

This is the time to ask some of life’s most compelling and important questions: Why am I here? What is my work? Who am I on the deepest level?  What is my deeper story?

What we need now are new stories to share with each other, new tales to live into the world, which is to say, stories to make real by living our own versions of them.”

― Bill Plotkin, Nature and the Human Soul: Cultivating Wholeness and Community in a Fragmented World

STAFF

Tracey Forest (KeyTurner) is passionate about helping others step through the doorway into the mystical and the mythical, the sacred and the sublime, the earthy and the erotic, the dark depths and high heights. She is a fearless and compassionate facilitator who has “been to the mountain” and descended into the abyss to lament for the earth, to celebrate the beauty and pain and who knows the rich gifts that lie in the dark to be mined. She stands in the portal, holding a lantern, singing ancient songs, dangling a key, inviting you to step through into the vast landscape of your Soul.

Co-founding Director of Spirit Hollow, Tracey is a shamanic healer and teacher, yoga teacher and singer of soul-stirring songs.  She has been training shamanic healers for over 20 years through the Seeing with the Heart Apprenticeship Program  and running transformational immersions and camps for that time as well.  With 25 years of experience guiding others, she is currently in the Soulcraft Apprenticeship and Initiation Program (SAIP) with Bill Plotkin and the Animas Valley Institute learning the nuances of Soul Initiation Guide and cultivating more tools to assist in the Wholing and Healing of this broken, beautiful world.

Jonah Ruh Roberts (Walks Between) is passionate about helping people re-whole their soul, awaken to spirit and get strong, clear and resourced on their soul path. She is devoted to Earth and Spirit and to helping humans come back into right relationship with Earth and all the myriad beings and spirits that we share this precious world with. She sees that we are being asked to mature, to step up, to lead and to become the medicine people that will bring healing and wholing to our species.

Jonah is a teacher, herbalist, craniosacral practitioner and soul midwife empowering self-healing, resiliency and soul path alignment through the wisdoms and culture of sacred earth medicine. She leads women circles and events, a yearlong program for women, and collaborates with a number of other movers and shakers on events that awaken responsibility, healing and culture creation. Kimber Wattendorf (Northstar) has spent her life seeking the mystical cloaked in the mundane, the spiritual concealed within the secular. As a child she had aspirations of joining the priesthood of her Roman Catholic upbringing, but despite her penchant for transubstantiating Ritz crackers and absolving her stuffed animals of their sins, certain accidents of birth in the form of improper plumbing barred that course of action. Thus she embarked on a roundabout journey back to Source that took her from the parking lots of Grateful Dead shows to Zen monasteries, rock shows to gem shows, dive bars to crystalline mountain summits. As T.S. Elliot enjoined, she “never ceased from exploration, and at the end of all her exploring was to arrive where she started and know the place for the first time.” All her wandering eventually led to Spirit Hollow, where she finally found Here, on the Land, the divinity she had been so desperately seeking Elsewhere, down endless labyrinthine American highways of night. Through the Seeing with the Heart Apprenticeship, under the tutelage of the incredible beings, human and more than human, who steward this sacred place, Northstar finally found her calling and her medicine. Now, as a yogi, a shamanic healer, a daughter of Gaia and a priestess of the Goddess, Northstar is deeply committed to assisting our young ones who are also adrift in the darkness of our times to find their own direction Ho
me. Her life’s mission is to be a navigator of soul, and she is dedicated to holding space and shining light that lost boys and lost girls of all ages might chart their course back to loving, regenerative relationship with Nature, with Community, with Mystery, and with Self.
