January 19 – March 23, 2021 (10 weeks)

“To display the lantern of soul in shadowy times like these – to be fierce and to show mercy toward others; both are acts of immense bravery and greatest necessity.”  ~Clarissa Pinkola Estes

Guide: Tracey Forest (KeyTurner)

Assisted by Jonah Ruh Roberts (Walks Between)

What does it mean to be fully present in the midst of the Great Unraveling?  How do you stay engaged, active, empowered and ALIVE in the face of so much chaos and uncertainty? How do you say YES to the Great Turning toward regenerative culture and life-enhancing community?  And what is the particular way Mystery has shaped you to participate with passion and authenticity right here, right now, in these very days?

The overwhelm many of us are experiencing can be paralyzing if you don’t tend to your deepest longings and the voices of your Soul, your niche, as spoken through Earth and Psyche.

There is so much more to these times than we think, so much more that we are being called to, yet we are easily distracted from the deepest source of knowing and becoming—Earth herself.  Caught up in divisive news and finger pointing, negativity and politics, our life force and imaginations are colonized by the pathologically sick culture in which we dwell.

By consciously limiting our time with media, we can give ourselves back to the Depths of our Souls.  By Returning to Earth, we can find our most organic sense of belonging. By going into the Darkness, we can find the gifts that are buried.   By feeling our grief and despair, we can access our truest longings and purest powers.  By descending into the underworld, we can listen to the voices of the myriad sacred others speaking, and be in soulful conversation.

The unknown can feel scary because it is mysterious, and it is veiled.  But it is exactly the realm we must enter, explore, mine, and embrace to be fully alive in these liminal times.  Our power lies deep in Earth, and we must source it now to be fully of service in our own unique ways.  Our power also lies in our willingness to do the hard work, the scary work, the deep work of “going into the dark where night has eyes to recognize its own.  There you can be sure you are not beyond love” (David Whyte). When we lay down our expectations and cross the threshold into Mystery’s terrain, rich facets of our strengths and wholeness are finally accessible!

This online offering creates a safe container for you to access what Mystery and Earth have to reveal to you about your Soul and to really listen to what is being asked of you from the realms of myth and the heart of Gaia.

Even via Zoom, the energetic field we will create together promises to be potent and communal, loving and fierce.  We will use a depth council format to plunge into the underworld of Soul together from the first meeting, and between sessions, there will be a series of invitations and practices for you to do—on the land, in your journal, with art and embodied movement and song and in your dreamtime.

As your guides, we will hold a loving space for you to explore terrain that is both new and ancient.  We will call you out and help you to deepen in, assist you in working with your own edges, nudge you to lean in to the places you might be avoiding or scared of, and mirror back to you your own vulnerabilities and brilliance.

This online immersion is not meant for people who are solely seeking personal healing, although as a side effect, there will be deep insights, releases and profound practices that will help you become more whole.  For people with pressing psychological issues or those in a healing crisis, we do not recommend this course, but instead recommend working with a licensed therapist.

Practices include:

  • Council from the depths
  • Invitations for journaling and movement
  • Despair and empowerment work (the work that reconnects) to access our grief and be in gratitude
  • Wholing and Self-healing practices
  • Shadow work to claim our resources
  • Dreamwork
  • Sacred song
  • Self-Designed ceremony
  • Wandering on your land
  • Journeying and deep imagination

Quiet friend who has come so far,

feel how your breathing makes more space around you.

Let this darkness be a bell tower

and you the bell. As you ring,

what batters you becomes your strength.

Move back and forth into the change.

What is it like, such intensity of pain?

If the drink is bitter, turn yourself to wine.

In this uncontainable night,

be the mystery at the crossroads of your senses,

the meaning discovered there.

And if the world has ceased to hear you,

say to the silent earth: I flow.

To the rushing water, speak: I am.

“Let This Darkness Be a Bell Tower” by Rainer Maria Rilke

from Sonnets to Orpheus II, 29. Translation by Joanna Macy and Anita Barrows
