Lisa Carrino

Co-director of Pompanuck and co-owner of the Round House Bakery, artist and educator, Lisa was born in Saratoga Springs, N.Y where she grew up during exciting times of change. In the mid 1960's her parents bought an old falling down farmhouse in Cambridge, NY. While working on and living in it, she fell in love with the place and the people of the area. Lisa earned a B.F.A. in Sculpture at The Rhode Island School of Design, studied European pastry making at Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute and was an independent designer for the fashion/dancewear industry in NYC. She began a family and became a licensed massage therapist while living in Connecticut and then moved back home to Cambridge with her husband Scott and children Nico, Luke, and Chiara. For many years, Lisa has taught adults, and children of all ages in a wide range of subjects including dance, visual arts, and humanities. She is presently excited about designing programs for children, teens, and families that are being offered at Pompanuck and about meeting the many wonderful people who make their way here.
